FAQ

At Carlingford Yoga, we want to ensure that every visitor to our retreat feels totally at home, and that during their stay, each student gets yoga tuition tailored to their individual skill level.

Once a deposit is paid, we will email you an information pack, and an online questionnaire form which will give you the opportunity to let us know of any individual requirements. We will do our best to ensure you have everything you need.

If you do not find the answer to your questions below, please feel free to ask us any questions

What if I've never done yoga before?
Individuals of every level will benefit from small numbers in class. This ensure that there is time for each guest to receive direction and instruction when required. Basic and advanced options in each asana/pose allow your teacher assess what suits your needs and will support you all the way. There is no benefit in overstretching or seeking to take on something that your body is not ready to do. The use of props is key; these will make up the space or distance between where you want to be (classical or full pose) and where your practice allows you to be for now. You will enjoy every benefit that an advanced student enjoys by practicing diligently through us.
I've done a lot of yoga. Will I be challenged?
Your teacher is trained in the Iyengar yoga method. There are numerous variations for each pose and you are invited to try these based on your level. There will be at no time any sense of waiting for others to catch up. Be assured of really engaging and fun classes throughout.
Accommodation
Wood Quay house was built in the mid 19th Century and still maintains many period features. The main reception is a gracious, high ceiling room with a fireplace at one end and an aga cooker at the other.
